Product Description
This minimalist yellow pendant lamp is part of the Scan-Light series, a bold and modern lighting concept developed in the 1960s by Hans-Agne Jakobsson in collaboration with Thorsten Orrling. Designed as a continuation of earlier metal and wood veneer lamps, this series introduced a fresh material: lightweight, translucent acrylic—available in orange, beige, and yellow.
This particular model, known as the TN52, is a compact version standing 30 cm tall and 20 cm in diameter. Its clean, geometric silhouette reflects the Scandinavian design ethos of the era: simple, functional, and visually striking. The lamp provides a soft, warm glow without glare, true to Jakobsson’s philosophy of creating gentle, ambient lighting.
In excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of age, it features a standard E14 bulb socket and has been fitted with a new 200 cm cord. A true collector’s piece, it represents the refined innovation of one of Scandinavia’s most prolific and influential lighting designers.
